I founded Longinus Therapeutics in Madrid in 2026 after my daughter Emma was diagnosed with a 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microduplication — a recurrent CNV affecting hundreds of thousands of families worldwide, with no targeted treatment despite a well-characterized genetic mechanism. We are developing an intrathecal ASO that lowers CYFIP1 back to wild-type dosage, with epigenetic silencing on the roadmap as future work.
